Beginning Friday, June 11th, a 30-city concert tour with over 500,000 tickets
available, will play concert venues around the country, primarily amphitheaters. Each of the 30 stops will feature a day long Nascar "experience" - a fan festival, and an evening musical performance with the Allman Brothers Band as the headliners. The Allman Brothers are currently playing to sold out audiences in New York and have always been regarded as one of the best live bands ever to hit the stage.
In 1997, the Allman Brothers won a grammy award for Best Rock Instrumental performance for "Jessica". Another track, "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" was also nominated in the Pop Instrumental category. The fan festival will be an on-site Nascar experience with a collection of show cars and interactive games.
