Media: Closed Facebook Group
I sometimes post how-to guidance in various venues. This is an example from the private Facebook group of
a hosting provider serving non-profit organizations. The provider includes a dual-track email system
that tends to confuse recipients who want to opt-out. Sometimes it even confuses the provider's
customers, most of whom are not professonal webmasters.
On the left is my post. On the right are opt-out instructions I wrote for our organization,
to clarify the confusing unsubscribe system. It's rather long, but since I added it, we've had fewer
opt-outs and no complaints that we didn't honor the request as desired.
