press release

What kind of Press Release?

  • Global announcement?
  • Custom release geared to a specific publication?
  • Something in-between?

Press releases range from a simple announcement from which editors will run a routine sentence or two, to a couple of pages' worth that editors can easily cut to fit, all the way to an interesting story prepared to meet the editorial needs of a specific publication.

I've written the full range, and even if it's a routine announcement, I may try to include a worthy story. After all, writing's not worth writing if it's not worth reading. And the measure of a reader's interest depends on that reader's interests, not just what you want to say. Below are examples of various lengths and types. For more information about public relations and editorial work, please write me or call 718-577-0005 during New York business hours.
